Kimio Minami has more than 27 years of experience in consulting and sales in information systems architecture within Matsushita Electric (Panasonic), working predominantly with Japanese Government organizations and large enterprises. Mr. Minami's specialty is reorganizing management operations by making extensive use of IT solutions For the past five years, he has been engaged in the development of Internet service businesses based on consumer platforms such as Digital TV and Digital Video Recorders and the development of network infrastructure including network connectivity, authentication and billing systems.

In April 2006, Mr. Minami was appointed to lead the newly established Healthcare Systems Development Office within Panasonic's corporate R&D sector. In this capacity, he is actively working to build robust healthcare product lines and services.

Mr. Minami's current focus is on biological reactions as indicators of health conditions. He believes Panasonic can contribute to supporting the early detection of physical disorders and improvement of quality of life by the extension of its successful bioengineering approach to meet the challenges of aging.
